Rolf Sachs, Chairman
Rolf Sachs has been working for his family office with primary responsibilities in fund management. Over the past years he was particularly active in analysing and investing with third party managers. His broad and thorough expertise was acquired over the years through close contact with managers around the globe. Having developed this know-how in allocating assets to traditional, hedge fund and private equity managers, the family office is reckoned to be among the leaders in this field in Europe. Mr Sachs serves on the boards of several companies who specialise in the alternative investment sector. Prior to joining the family office, he worked as a trainee with Schroder Wagg. He studied mathematics at the London School of Economics before graduating at Menlo Business School where he received a BsBa in Investment Theory and Finance.
Prof. Dr. Peter Meier, Director
Head of the Centre of Alternative Investments at Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Winterthur, Prof Meier studied at University of St. Gallen where he received a doctoral degree in economics in 1982 and was also a visiting scholar at Stanford University. At the Cantonal Bank of Zurich he was Chief Economist before he started to build up a modern asset management unit for institutional and private portfolios, as well as mutual funds from 1992 to 1998 for the same bank. As CEO of Swissca Portfolio Management, Peter Meier was responsible for one of the larger Swiss institutional asset management companies. His research, consulting and teaching experience range from economics to finance and particularly banking, portfolio management, mutual funds and pension funds. Since 2000 he has published regular articles about alternative investments and hedge funds.
Marc Gabelli, Director
Marc Gabelli has been serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of The LGL Group, Inc. since September of 2004 and he is also Director and Managing Partner of GAMA Funds Holdings GmbH. In addition, Mr. Gabelli serves on the board and is President of GGCP, Inc., a private investment corporation based in Zug and the USA, and is the majority owner of GAMCO Investors, Inc. traded on the NYSE. Mr. Gabelli is a well recognized practitioner in global equity fund management. He began his career in equity arbitrage and research at Lehman Brothers International in London. Mr. Gabelli is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.), with an MBA , Boston College with a bachelor’s degree in economics, and holds a diploma in management from the SEP at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He is a member of several industry associations including The New York Society of Securities Analysts and the Media and Entertainment Analysts of New York. He is involved with several New York area charitable causes and serves on the Board of Directors for the United Nations’ (IIE, NLG) “Institute of International Education New Leaders Group” which helps administer Fulbright scholarships. He was previously on the board of the John Cabot University in Rome, Italy, and on the investment board of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange.
Rolf H Küng, Chief Executive Officer
Rolf Küng holds an MBA in Economics, specialized in Reporting and Performance, University of Zurich, and is a Swiss Certified Accountant. Prior of co-founding IFIT, Rolf has been 17 years in the auditing business; He has been a Director of several companies during the past 20 years, focused and experience in business project realization in Europe and Overseas. His specialization is in international controlling and information technology, brought forward as a Co-founder of IFIT Institute and co-developer of the IFIT Institute software used by IFIT. Mr. Küng is Delegate of the Management Board and CEO of IFIT Intstitute For Innovative Trading AG.
Peter Forster, Chief Operating Officer
Peter Forster holds a BA in economics from the Hochschule St Gallen, a Law degree from the University Zurich Law School and was also a visiting scholar at Stanford University. After working for a Swiss IT and Media Consulting Firm, the Sydney based Australian Film Finance Corporation, Credit Suisse and the Swiss Law Firm Lenz & Staehelin, Peter has been working as an independent legal and business consultant with an international client base since 1998. He has represented amongst others, Deutsche Bank Private Equity Fund of Funds, exclusively for Eastern Europe Investors, and ERGO Private Equity in Switzerland. Peter joined IFIT in 2003 as a council and accepted the COO position in 2005.
Oliver Saager, Head Compliance and Administration
Oliver Saager graduated from the University of Applied Science (FHNW), Brugg and Basel, with a BSc. (Hons) in Economics and majored in IT-Management and E-Business. He has worked for IFIT Institute For Innovative Trading AG since its formation and joined IFIT fulltime after completing his studies. He specialized in Compliance matters and is responsible for Company Administration and Business Affairs for both IFIT and its subsidiaries. He became a member of the IFIT Executive Team in 2006.
